HOW to Receive My Help Online
This site is for folks who are seeking help in making their favorite music on a keyboard. That would be folks of any age at all. I believe that everyone should enjoy making their favorite music.
What’s a “keyboard?”
The American Heritage Dictionary says:
“Keyboard – Any of various instruments played by means of a set of piano-like keys….”
Thus, I use “keyboard” to include acoustic pianos, digital pianos, portable keyboards, synthesizers, organs, etc If it becomes important to differentiate I do that as well.
Many of you already own some sort of keyboarded instrument and would love to be able to make your favorite music with it. A really excellent way to improve your knowledge and skill is to join my “Online Help Site.” It’s totally cheap and ready to go when you are. Another huge advantage is you stay at home, with no need to travel (expensive in time and gas money) to meet with a live teacher.
Those of you who are total beginners should find a live teacher. Learn to play a bit and then come back to this site. Those that already play will find a ton of help here improving their skills. (By the way, if you do have a teacher, be nice to them and let them know you are also reading this site – nothing is worse than having an unknown person “advising” a student. It makes the teaching very, very hard to do!)

You, as an musician, might be discouraged because… well, there are lots of reasons, almost all I’ve seen many times and learned to fix. It’s likely I can help you, too.
What are my qualifications to teach? First off, I’ve had extensive teacher training. Second, I’ve done a ton of things and played almost every type of instrument and made every type of music during a performance career of 40+ years. Thus, I can teach these things and that’s exactly what I’ve done for 25+ years. I’m a teacher who also performs rather than a performer who also teaches.
I do NOT have a degree. Such folks are usually classical teachers and many (dare I say “most?”) folks don’t want classical. Although I can teach it just fine, I also teach all other sorts of music: country, rock, folk, blues, showtunes, you name it, I teach it!
